World ID Integrates Human Verification Technology with PeakOS
World and Peak announced on the 27th that they have integrated World ID's human verification technology into PeakOS, which supports identity verification for robots and autonomous machines. This allows robots to confirm whether the other party is a real person without receiving personal identification information. World ID is designed to enable users to prove they are real people without disclosing personal information by utilizing zero-knowledge proof technology. Machines based on PeakOS can perform authentication without a separate API key. This integration addresses the need for autonomous robots to verify the identity of others without collecting personal information as the number of cases where they interact directly with humans increases. Traditional methods such as PINs or ID cards have security issues, but this technology allows machines and operators to complete the authentication process without collecting the user's identity. In a scenario of autonomous medicine delivery, patients complete human verification through the World app, and the delivery robot does not receive the patient's personal information. South Korea is presented as a market that is ahead in robotics adoption and has a high acceptance of new technologies. World ID is currently available on PeakOS-based robots and machines through robotic.sh.
