Ripple has entered into a multi-year partnership with the University of Florida Athletics.

Starting from the 2026 Florida football season, the XRP brand will be showcased at the university's Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, as well as through digital media and events.

XRP Logo to be Displayed at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium

On September 4, 2026, the University of Florida Athletics announced its multi-year partnership with Ripple. As part of the agreement, the XRP logo will be prominently displayed on the field of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium starting from the 2026 season.

The branding of XRP will not be limited to the stadium; it will also include billboard advertisements on the digital media and events of the University of Florida Athletics. Additionally, Ripple will support financial and technology education for the university's student-athletes and campus community, focusing on both traditional finance and digital assets.

Scott Stricklin, the Athletic Director of the University of Florida Athletics, explained that the university has been incorporating innovation and technology to enhance fan experiences and the development of its sports programs. He welcomed the partnership with Ripple, a company operating in the financial technology sector.

Florida Athletics supports 21 teams and over 500 student-athletes. According to the university, it is the only institution that has ranked in the top 10 nationally across all sports for the past 42 years.

Potential Revenue of Up to $5 Million Annually, Expanding Sponsorship in College Sports

According to AP News, sources involved in the negotiations indicated that this sponsorship deal is expected to generate up to $5 million (approximately 780 million yen) annually for the University of Florida Athletics.

Ripple is advancing its sponsorship in the college sports sector and announced a multi-year deal with the University of Kansas Athletics in July. Under that agreement, the XRP logo will be displayed at competition venues and on football uniforms. Ripple's CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, is also an alumnus of the University of Kansas.

In college sports, the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) has lifted the ban on corporate advertising in stadiums starting in 2024. Additionally, the House v. NCAA lawsuit has allowed college athletic departments to pay student-athletes directly in cash for the first time, increasing the need for universities to secure funding for such payments.

With this contract, Ripple will continue to expand the XRP brand at the University of Florida, following its efforts at the University of Kansas, further enhancing the recognition of XRP through college sports.
