TokenPost Builds Korean Crypto Wiki: "Creating Information Needed for the Korean Crypto Industry"

As the virtual asset industry becomes institutionalized and the number of investors participating in the market increases, the importance of an information infrastructure that accurately understands the domestic crypto industry is also growing.

Most of the wikis and knowledge bases used in the existing crypto market are built around overseas industries and projects. While they help in understanding the global market, there is a relative lack of a Korean-language knowledge base that systematically identifies projects, companies, individuals, terms, and events that are actually active in the Korean market.

To fill this information gap and accumulate the information needed for the domestic crypto industry, TokenPost has established the 'TokenPost Wiki'.

Enhancing Industry Transparency Initiated by TokenWatch

The establishment of this wiki is an extension of TokenPost's ongoing efforts to enhance industry transparency.

Previously, TokenPost conducted work through 'TokenWatch' to directly verify and record the operational status and official communication channels of projects listed on domestic exchanges. The goal is to organize and disclose scattered information in the market so that investors can verify the actual activities of projects and basic operational information.

This is based on the judgment that as the industry grows and becomes institutionalized, the information needed by investors also changes. It is essential to go beyond simply providing prices or news and to be able to verify the information that constitutes the market, such as what the project is, who created it, and what events it has gone through.

While TokenWatch played a role in verifying the current state of individual projects and the market, the wiki takes it a step further by accumulating and connecting the knowledge that constitutes the industry.

Building a Knowledge Base for the Korean Crypto Industry

The TokenPost Wiki connects not only coins and projects but also terms and concepts, individuals, companies, institutions, issues, and events into a single knowledge system.

Currently, there are 2,415 documents and 6,251 events organized in a timeline, with 23,091 connections between documents. It includes 848 individuals, 638 companies, 324 terms, 260 coins, 207 products, and 138 exchanges. It also connects documents related to 847 items in the Upbit won market.

A separate search environment for Korean users has also been established. It supports initial consonant searches and searches that ignore spacing, and links English names or project names with the Korean aliases and various transliterations actually used in the country.

Through this, the plan is to move away from simply translating overseas materials or requiring domestic investors to search overseas wikis, and to accumulate information that is actually used and needed in the Korean market in Korean.

Designed for AI to Read and Cite

TokenPost considered the environment in which AI can utilize information from the design stage of the wiki.

As people have begun to explore information through chatbots and AI beyond search engines, it has become important not only to know what information is available but also whether AI can accurately read, understand, and cite that information.

The TokenPost Wiki provides a markdown version for each document and structures information such as titles, aliases, update dates, and sources. It is designed to help AI understand and utilize the wiki's information more easily through MCP servers and llms.txt, and allows access for major AI crawlers.

Through this, TokenPost aims to build an information base that AI can refer to and cite when explaining the Korean crypto industry, going beyond simply creating searchable information.

Publicizing the Information Production Process

A verification system is also in place to enhance the reliability of the information in the wiki.

Some documents start from automatically generated drafts, but the verification status is indicated, and the original source can be verified through footnotes. A discussion feature is also provided for readers to report errors or discuss content.

In the future, a structure will be established to connect TokenPost's articles with the wiki so that related documents and events are automatically accumulated when new articles are produced. Projects listed on domestic exchanges that do not yet have documents, as well as terms with high user search demand, will also be continuously supplemented.

What TokenPost aims to build through the wiki is not just a simple encyclopedia. As the industry grows, the goal is to accumulate and connect the information needed by investors and market participants to create an information infrastructure that enhances the transparency of the Korean crypto industry.

Additionally, reflecting the changes of the era where AI finds and interprets information, the plan is to develop it into a Korean-style crypto information base that can be understood and utilized by AI, beyond a knowledge base for human readers.
