On August 21, as a result of a nighttime attack by Russia in the Odesa region, the infrastructure of the international border crossing point "Tabaki" on the border with Moldova was damaged. Crossing in this direction is currently not taking place. On the night of August 21, the enemy attacked the Bolgrad and Izmail districts of the Odesa region with "Shahed" drones. Buildings and structures of the crossing point were damaged, and fires that broke out at the facilities have been localized by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The State Border Guard Service reports that currently, the crossing of people and vehicles through the "Tabak" point is not being carried out, and the Moldovan side has been informed. Transport is being redirected to other crossing points. The agency urges citizens to take this information into account when planning their trips. It is worth noting that on the night of August 20, Russian troops also attacked the border crossing with Moldova using drones, resulting in the ignition of two trailers from trucks carrying food products, but there were no casualties from the shelling.
