Ripple Expands RLUSD to the Ethereum Layer 2 Network

BlockBeats News, December 15th, according to Coindesk, Ripple is expanding RLUSD to the Ethereum Layer 2 network, including Optimism, Coinbase's Base, Kraken's Ink, and Uniswap's Unichain.
Ripple stated that the initiative will first undergo a testing phase, with larger-scale rollout expected next year, pending approval from the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS).
This pilot project integrates the Wormhole Native Token Transfer (NTT) standard, allowing RLUSD to be cross-chain transferred natively without the need for wrapping or synthetic assets. This will help support a range of decentralized finance (DeFi) use cases while maintaining liquidity and regulatory control, optimizing network speed, and reducing costs.
