What You Gain with Passkeys

Faster sign in: Verify with your fingerprint, facial recognition, or screen lock PIN or password, with less need to enter your account credentials.
Stronger account security: Passkeys are bound to the official WEEX website and App, helping reduce the risks of password exposure and phishing on impersonation websites.
Easier management: Add multiple passkeys and assign names based on the device, for example, “Personal Phone” or “Work Computer”,so they are easy to identify and manage.
Privacy protection: Your fingerprint, facial data, and device screen lock PIN or password are verified locally on your device. WEEX does not access or store this information.

Set Up and Use Passkeys with Ease

1.Add a Passkey
Step 1. Sign in to WEEX on the web or in the WEEX App version 4.5.35 or later.
Step 2. Go to Profile → Account Security → Passkey.
Step 3. Select Add Passkey and complete the security verification as prompted.
Step 4. Follow the system prompts and use your fingerprint, facial recognition, device screen lock PIN or password, or a compatible hardware security key to create the passkey.
Step 5. After the passkey is created, give it a recognizable name, such as “Personal iPhone,” “Work MacBook,” or “Backup Security Key.”
Recommendation: Keep another available sign-in method, such as your account password, in case your device is lost or your passkey is temporarily unavailable.
2.Sign In with a Passkey
Step 1. Open the official WEEX website or the WEEX App version 4.5.35 or later, then go to the sign-in page.
Step 2. Select Sign in with Passkey.
Step 3. Choose the passkey you want to use and follow the system prompts to verify with your fingerprint, facial recognition, or device screen lock PIN or password.
Step 4. After successful verification, you will be signed in to your WEEX account.
If your passkey is unavailable or verification fails, you can still sign in using another available method, such as your account password. Your normal sign-in process will not be affected.
3.Rename a Passkey
If you have added multiple passkeys, rename them to distinguish between devices.
Step 1. Sign in to WEEX and go to Profile → Account Security → Passkey.
Step 2. Select the passkey you want to rename, then select Rename.
Step 3. Enter a new name and save it.
Security tip: Use a device name or usage scenario, but never include passwords, verification codes, or other sensitive information in a passkey name.
4.Delete a Passkey
Step 1. Sign in to WEEX and go to Profile - Account Security - Passkey.
Step 2. Select the passkey you want to remove, then select Delete.
Step 3. Complete the security verification as prompted to unlink the passkey from your WEEX account.
To remove it completely, you may also delete the corresponding local passkey from your device’s password manager or system keychain.
Important: Deleting a passkey triggers a 24-hour withdrawal restriction on your account. Please plan related transactions accordingly.
Important Security Reminders
The Passkey feature is available on the WEEX website and in the WEEX App version 4.5.35 or later. If the relevant option is not displayed in the App, update to the latest version first.
Before using a passkey, make sure your device has fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, or a screen lock PIN or password enabled.
Available verification methods may vary by device, operating system, and browser. Refer to the options displayed on the page and by your system.
Create and use passkeys only through the official WEEX website or official App. Before verifying, confirm that the website domain and account details are correct.
WEEX will never ask you for your device screen lock PIN or password, fingerprint, facial data, one-time verification code, or passkey. Never provide this information to anyone.
Do not save passkeys on public computers or untrusted devices.
If your device is lost, use another trusted device or sign-in method to access your account as soon as possible. Delete the passkey associated with the lost device and review your account security settings.
If you find an unrecognized passkey, delete it immediately, change your sign-in password, review signed-in devices and other security settings, and contact WEEX Customer Support promptly.

Passkey sign-in, setup, and management are supported on the WEEX website and in the WEEX App version 4.5.35 or later.
3.Does WEEX store my fingerprint, facial data, or device screen lock PIN or password?
No. Verification is performed locally on your device. WEEX does not access or store your fingerprint, facial data, or device screen lock PIN or password.

Yes. If your passkey is unavailable or verification fails, you can use another available sign-in method, such as your account password.
