Zcash Foundation deploys 5 DNS seed nodes to address ECC node outage

BlockBeats News, January 14th, the Zcash Foundation officially announced that in response to the Electric Coin Company (ECC) operated DNS seeder node ceasing to respond on January 8th, five new DNS seeder nodes have been deployed in the United States and Europe. The newly deployed seeder nodes are located in South Carolina and Oregon in the U.S., and in Belgium, Germany, and Finland in Europe.

As of now, including the existing seeder nodes, the total number of seeder nodes operated by the Zcash Foundation has reached six, aimed at ensuring reliable node discovery for users and improving wallet and node bootstrapping performance. Additionally, the Zcash Foundation is considering further deployments in other regions to enhance coverage and reliability, with Shielded Labs also working on deploying additional seeder nodes.
