Wall Street Expands STRC Holdings and Increases Institutional Investment
Michael Saylor is focusing on Strategy's STRC instead of Bitcoin. Over the past two months, Wall Street funds have begun investing in STRC, integrating digital credit products into traditional portfolios. According to Saylor, STRC has emerged as the largest component in BlackRock's iShares Preferred Stock and Income Securities ETF, Virtus InfraCap U.S. Preferred Stock ETF, and VanEck Preferred Securities Ex-Financials ETF. The total holdings of STRC in these funds amount to approximately $756 million, equivalent to about 1.1044 trillion won based on an exchange rate of 1,461 won per dollar. While the share of individual investors decreased from 78% in March to 71% in July, institutional investors increased their holdings by an average of 105%, reaching about $3.5 million. This shift suggests that STRC may be re-evaluated from a 'speculative asset' to a 'strategic credit product.' It signals that digital credit products are being integrated into traditional financial markets, and if institutional adoption of STRC continues, it could become a significant pillar in Wall Street portfolios.
