US Soldier Faces Lawsuit for Insider Trading Profits of Millions
Federal authorities are set to file a lawsuit against a U.S. soldier for allegedly betting on military operations on the Polymarket platform and profiting over $1 million. The soldier has been under scrutiny since spring and successfully wagered on events related to military strikes involving Iran and Venezuela. This case is one of several investigations targeting military personnel involved in war contract trading, concerning the timing and outcomes of military actions. Additionally, the U.S. is investigating an employee of KPMG for allegedly betting that a company's performance would exceed market expectations.
