Ukrzaliznytsia Sells 25 Real Estate Properties for 1 Billion Hryvnias
Ukrzaliznytsia resumes the sale of non-core assets, putting 25 real estate properties up for auction in seven regions of Ukraine. The expected revenue from the sale is around 1 billion hryvnias. These funds are necessary to compensate for losses due to a decrease in freight volumes and rising energy resource prices. The properties have not been used for railway needs, leading to additional maintenance costs. The list of properties includes administrative buildings in Lviv and Ternopil regions, production facilities in Vinnytsia and Zhytomyr regions, as well as trading facilities in Odesa and Cherkasy regions. In Dnipropetrovsk region, sports and wellness complexes are being offered. Currently, an independent valuation of the assets is being conducted, and government approval for their sale is being arranged. Ukrzaliznytsia has also identified about 100 more non-core properties for potential sale.
