There Will Be No Mobilization of Women in Ukraine

Mobilization of women in Ukraine is not being carried out and is not being considered. The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on National Security, Defense and Intelligence stated that there are no legislative initiatives for mandatory conscription of women. This issue is not being discussed within the Committee. Ukrainian women can only join the Defense Forces on a voluntary basis. The Verkhovna Rada also urged not to interpret statements from individual public speakers about possible mobilization of women as an official position. The Committee emphasized that such comments do not reflect real legislative work. Citizens are urged to obtain information about mobilization only from official sources. Earlier, President Zelensky stated that he would not abolish martial law and mobilization in Ukraine until security guarantees are received.
