The ban and restrictions on cryptocurrency ATMs in Tennessee and Georgia, USA have come into effect
According to Cointelegraph, new regulations for cryptocurrency ATMs in Tennessee and Georgia took effect on July 1. Tennessee has implemented a comprehensive ban, while Georgia requires transaction limits and reporting obligations. Previously, Indiana enacted a ban in March, and Minnesota will enforce a similar ban on August 1. Before the ban took effect, there were about 185 cryptocurrency ATMs and kiosks operating in Tennessee. Governments in various regions have taken action due to frequent incidents of residents (especially the elderly) being scammed into transferring money through cryptocurrency ATMs. Legislators in Delaware and New Jersey have proposed similar comprehensive ban measures.
