Sharpa, a general robotics company, has completed financing of over 4.5 billion yuan, with investors including Alibaba, Meituan, Tencent, JD.com, as well as venture capital firms such as Sequoia China and Qiming Venture Partners. The post-investment valuation stands at 22 billion yuan. This marks the first public disclosure of financing since Sharpa's establishment. Founded at the end of 2024 by Heisai Technology CEO Li Yifan, CTO Xiang Shaoqing, and Chief Scientist Sun Kai, Sharpa focuses on general-purpose robots and components for dexterous operations. Co-founder Li Yifan stated that Sharpa's strategy is to first accumulate generalized capabilities and real data in real-world scenarios, with plans to gradually enter households starting in 2028. Real-world scenarios must meet three conditions: the environment is not specially modified for robots, operations are fully autonomous by robots, and the completion of complex tasks involving multiple steps.
