Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Releases Support Plan for AI Startups in Small and Medium Enterprises (2026-2028)

The General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has issued the "Support Plan for AI Startups in Small and Medium Enterprises (2026-2028)". The plan aims to cultivate over 10,000 technology and innovation-oriented small and medium enterprises within three years through key areas such as industry applications, data services, and intelligent computing power. It seeks to nurture more than 2,000 specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprises, as well as a number of gazelle and unicorn companies. The plan will also establish 10 high-standard technology enterprise incubators and 10 national public service demonstration platforms for small and medium enterprises, cultivate 10 national-level characteristic industrial clusters for small and medium enterprises, and promote the entrepreneurial and innovative vitality of AI small and medium enterprises, initially forming a high-quality development pattern empowered by AI for small and medium enterprises.
