The government proposes to raise the limit for the sale of rural land to foreigners from 15% to 25% in the Land Law. This concession aims to prevent the changes to the law from failing in the Senate session scheduled for this Thursday. Four days before resuming the fourth recess called by Patricia Bullrich, a new draft of the law began circulating among the allies of Javier Milei's government. If this version is voted on, it will thwart Minister Federico Sturzenegger's attempts to eliminate the limits that have been in place since 2011. The new text establishes that the prohibition on the acquisition of rural land by foreigners will remain, but the allowed limit will be raised to 25% in each province.
