Since the listing of single-stock leverage and inverse ETFs by Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, Korean exchanges and brokerages have collectively earned 117.26 billion won in fees over the past two months. A surge of individual investors into these high-risk products has led to substantial fee income for exchanges and brokerages. According to data from the Financial Supervisory Service and the Korea Exchange, a total of 16 related products have been listed since May 27, and on active trading days, the daily fee income for the exchange can exceed 1 billion won. On June 24, the fee income reached 1.051 billion won, and on the 14th of last month, it was 1.011 billion won.
