Japan's Financial Services Agency Appoints Toshiaki Adomi as Head of Crypto Assets and Stablecoins Division

Prefer us on GoogleThe Japan Financial Services Agency (FSA) has announced a personnel appointment, establishing a "Crypto Assets and Stablecoins Division" responsible for regulating crypto assets and stablecoins, with Toshiaki Adomi appointed as the first division chief. Toshiaki Adomi graduated from Osaka University with a degree in law in 2002 and later joined the FSA. He obtained an MBA from the University of Birmingham and a Master of Laws from the London School of Economics. He has held various positions in bank supervision and policy coordination, and from July 2025, he will serve as a senior official in the Comprehensive Policy Bureau, transitioning to the role of Senior Official for Postal Savings and Insurance Supervision on August 1, 2026.
