An Iranian senior official stated that there are currently no discussions between Iran and the United States regarding the extension of the ceasefire. The official pointed out that, from Iran's perspective, there is no effective date for the ceasefire, thus there is no need for an extension. The U.S. violated the temporary agreement 48 hours after it was reached and withdrew a few days later. One of the current focuses of discussion is the U.S. return to the memorandum of understanding and establishing a timeline for the U.S. to fulfill its related commitments.
