Hugging Face Launches AI Robot Microduck Priced at $399

Hugging Face's Pollen Robotics has launched a new AI robot called Microduck, which is now available for pre-order at a price of $399. The robot comes in four colors: cream, graphite, lavender, and sky blue, and is scheduled to ship before Christmas this year. Microduck is a one-eyed bipedal robot standing less than 25.4 cm tall, capable of picking up socks, kicking a ball, and moving quickly. Users can control it with a game controller, and the robot can respond to its surroundings and follow a laser pointer. The software for Microduck is designed to be open-source, allowing users to retrain it to learn new movements, and it has the ability to sing, with each robot having a unique voice. On the hardware side, Microduck is equipped with a Rockchip RK3566 processor, a camera, motion sensors, and LIDAR, with movable structures in its legs, head, and neck.
