GPT-6 Astra Optimizes ChatGPT Subscription Usage, Heavy Scenarios Deduct Up to 75%
OpenAI has optimized the ChatGPT subscription usage for GPT-6 Astra. Tibo, the core product lead, stated that the model quality remains unchanged. In some heavy scenarios, the subscription usage can be reduced to about 1/3 to 1/4 of the previous consumption. This optimization mainly targets the ChatGPT subscription usage, and the official has not disclosed the specific mechanism, but it seems that the usage calculation on the subscription side has been adjusted. In the past two days, there have been multiple reports on OpenAI's GitHub about Astra usage depleting too quickly. Some Plus users reported reaching their limits in about 20 minutes, while Pro 20x users indicated they consumed a large portion of their weekly quota within a day.
