Germany's core inflation rate for July stands at 2.4%, with an expected inflation rate of 2.8% by July 2026. Energy prices have risen by 8.3% year-on-year, accelerating from the previous month. Analysts indicate that the decline in core inflation is positive news for the European Central Bank (ECB); if the Eurozone's CPI shows a similar trend, the likelihood of a rate hike in September will decrease. The market is closely monitoring developments in the Middle East, as a de-escalation in tensions would reduce the urgency for the ECB to tighten monetary policy.
