According to monitoring by Onchain Lens, a certain whale "0xD12" experienced partial liquidation of a 10x leveraged XPL short position on Hyperliquid. Data shows that the scale of this liquidation was approximately 3.83 million XPL (worth about $434,000), with an actual loss of about $40,900.
After part of the position was forcibly closed, the trader still holds approximately 15.33 million XPL short positions (about $1.71 million), with a current unrealized loss of about $145,300, and is close to the liquidation price of the remaining position.

Silver and platinum rose sharply, supported by lower yields from expanded long-bond buybacks and a softer dollar. Bitcoin climbed toward $75,000, lifting crypto-related equities. Markets are now focused on the August S&P Global Manufacturing and Services PMI flash readings due on August 21 U.S. Eastern Time, which will directly influence September rate-path pricing.
