CZ AMA Summary: Does not want to be the center of meme coin hype and any one tweet, the season of forks will surely come
BlockBeats News, January 14, CZ held a Chinese AMA tonight at Binance Square to address recent community concerns, summarized by BlockBeats:
Regarding meme coin hype:
· CZ stated that he enjoys meme culture but personally has little interest in meme coin trading. He prefers to focus on polishing the BSC underlying infrastructure to support user investment and trading needs.
· Regarding the "Pleb" monopolizing early-stage chips issue, CZ stated that this is to some extent a "decentralization manifestation," where early participants also take on risk. Subsequent buyers need to research on their own, CZ believes that at this stage, there is no need for third-party intervention.
· CZ mentioned that a truly successful meme coin needs to have "references, historical stories", and truly valuable ones are very few. The failure rate of meme coins is above 90%, and investors need to take responsibility for their choices. CZ emphasized that he does not want most meme coin hype creators to focus excessively on himself and any particular tweet; on the other hand, he will not stop tweeting just because he is being paid attention to (this is his freedom).
Regarding the market situation:
· Short-term market trends (next 3-4 months) cannot be accurately predicted, "even the U.S. president may not be able to predict."
· The altcoin season will definitely come, the market has cycles, and the future will not only revolve around BTC trading (BTC only has store of value, no smart contracts). Public chains, applications, and infrastructure will still have a stage in the short term.
· CZ remains bullish on Bitcoin in the long term, "$200,000 will come sooner or later, I don't see a peak at the moment".
· The BNB ecosystem is solid, proud of having many active ecosystem builders. CZ himself still holds a large amount of BNB, believing that there is still great price potential, but he will not give a specific target price.
Investor Advice:
· Strongly advise against beginners participating in contract trading, losses from volatility and leverage can be very significant. And reiterated multiple times that "investors should research independently and take responsibility for their decisions."
· In addition, CZ believes that the prediction market is a long-term growth area, but it is still in its early stages. Taking Polymarket as an example, the platform currently only has one or two capable market makers, primarily focused on the sports market. The future faces various uncertainties related to regulatory issues and competition from other players.
· When discussing platform X's potential support for crypto investments, CZ stated that users on the Binance platform have already completed KYC and can directly participate in trading. However, for the smart asset labeling and potential trading features that platform X is about to launch, X users may need to go through a KYC process.
