ByteDance Integrates TRAE and Coze into Doubao to Launch Doubao Work
ByteDance has completed the integration of its office AI product teams, merging the TRAE and Coze teams into the Doubao system. TRAE Work and Coze will be integrated with Doubao's product capabilities in work scenarios, while TRAE IDE and CLI will continue to develop as a programming product line under the Doubao brand. Following the adjustment, the relevant product and operations teams will report to Doubao product head Zhao Qi. TRAE and Coze were originally part of ByteDance's Product R&D and Engineering Architecture Department, positioned respectively as AI programming products and AI intelligent body development platforms. Starting this year, productivity agents have become an important strategic direction for Doubao, and the experience accumulated by both sides will be reused in Doubao. This adjustment further clarifies Doubao's core business positioning in AI, concentrating the focus of AI office products on Doubao, with the independent AI office product "Doubao Work" expected to be launched as a unified product and brand for AI office scenarios as early as this week. ByteDance stated that the adjustment aims to better coordinate product and technical resources to provide users with a higher quality AI work experience, with existing user rights remaining unaffected. Recently, Doubao has updated its office features, including remote computer control, Windows virtual desktops, cloud computers, and side workstations, and has launched over 200 skills and connectors; the independent "Doubao Work" will also be deeply integrated with Feishu, with the original Feishu "Aily Smart Partner" renamed to "Doubao Work Partner."
