Bridge, a subsidiary of Stripe, has been added to the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) register after receiving regulatory approval from Luxembourg. An update from the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) shows that with Bridge's addition, the number of authorized Electronic Money Token (EMT) issuers under MiCA has increased to 42. Bridge announced on July 2 that it has obtained MiCA authorization as a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) and an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from the Luxembourg Financial Sector Supervisory Commission. This approval allows EU businesses to build stablecoins and payment products within a regulated framework. The same ESMA update also added three new German CASP entries, bringing the total number of authorized CASPs in the EU register to 324. There has been no change in the authorization for Asset-Referenced Tokens (ART), and there are currently no ART issuers listed.
