Anthropic Projects Revenue of 269 Trillion Won by 2028

Anthropic's revenue forecast for 2028 has been projected at $190 billion to $200 billion (approximately 269 trillion to 283 trillion won). As expectations for growth in generative AI companies increase, investors continue to evaluate AI firms based on revenue multiples, despite the lack of established profit structures. Chinese financial information firm Jinse reported this revenue forecast, citing two individuals familiar with Anthropic's financial situation. This figure significantly exceeds the annualized revenue of $47 billion (approximately 66.5 trillion won) that Anthropic disclosed in May. The key point in the report is the method of evaluation rather than the revenue forecast itself. Jinse noted that bankers and investors are assessing Anthropic's value based on revenue multiples relative to its enterprise value. While using revenue multiples is common for high-growth software companies, basing it on figures two years out is not typical. This indicates that the pace of Anthropic's business expansion and the burden of investing in AI infrastructure are major variables in determining its enterprise value. In the Korean market, this figure serves as a reference indicator for semiconductor and cloud infrastructure demand. AI infrastructure investment is seen as a link connecting the domestic memory market, including DRAM and HBM. However, the 2028 revenue forecast is a long-term estimate based on reports from sources, and actual revenue and enterprise value may vary depending on cloud demand, computing costs, and investment procurement conditions.
